1. Day 1: Arrival in Hanoi

2. Day 2: Discovering Hanoi

What to do in Vietnam for 2 weeks? On our second day in Hanoi, we dove into the heart of the city. In the morning, we explored Phung Hung Street and its murals that tell the story of Hanoi. We then enjoyed the tranquility of Phan Dinh Phung Street, lined with tall trees and colonial buildings. A stop at the northern gate of the citadel and Cua Bac Church gave us a deeper understanding of the country’s history. We then visited Truc Bach Lake, a peaceful spot, before heading to the Quan Thanh Temple. A walk along Thanh Nien Street, nestled between two lakes, provided a relaxing moment away from the hustle and bustle. After a seaside breakfast in Da Nang, we hit the road to Hoi An, a city with timeless charm. Upon arrival, we were swept away by the unique atmosphere of the UNESCO-listed Old Town. We wandered through narrow streets lined with ancient houses with ochre-yellow facades, admiring the multicolored lanterns hanging above our heads. A stop at the Japanese Covered Bridge and a visit to the local market helped us better understand the history and traditions of this captivating city.

Then, for a more relaxing moment, I paddleboarded on the calm waters, taking in the stunning view of the horizon. In the evening, we enjoyed a seafood dinner with our feet in the sand, lulled by the gentle sound of the waves, rounding off a perfect day of adventure and relaxation.

6. Day 6: Immersion in local life - Fishing and nature in Hoi An

On the sixth day, we had two options. For those seeking relaxation, it was possible to rest on the white sands of Cửa Đại Beach, a more spacious and less crowded spot than An Bàng Beach, while staying close by. For those wanting a different experience, here’s the activity we chose and experienced.

We left the hustle and bustle of the Old Town and dove into the heart of the Hoi An countryside. By bike, we crossed peaceful landscapes, between lush rice paddies and traditional villages, where the warm smiles of the locals made the journey even more enjoyable. Our destination: the eco-village of Cam Thanh, known for its water coconut forests and its heroic past during the wars.

The most memorable experience was undoubtedly the basket boat ride on the river. Gliding between the nipa palms, we discovered traditional fishing techniques, assisted by local fishermen. We even tried our luck catching purple crabs and received charming souvenirs made from palm leaves. After this morning full of discoveries, a lunch of local specialties allowed us to wrap up this escape with a delicious note. 8. Day 8: Saigon - Mui Ne (Phan Thiet - Binh Thuan)

Early in the morning, we left the bustle of Ho Chi Minh City behind and headed for Mui Ne, a beautiful beach in southern Vietnam, located in Binh Thuan province. The drive took about 4 to 5 hours. Along the way, we passed dragon fruit plantations, a typical fruit of the region.

Upon arrival, we checked into a seaside hotel. After lunch, we spent the afternoon at Mui Ne Beach, known for its golden sand and turquoise waters. The beach offers a variety of activities suited to all tastes. Those seeking relaxation could enjoy the sun and the sound of the waves while lounging under the palm trees. 9. Day 9: Mui Ne - Return to Ho Chi Minh City

In the afternoon, we made our way back to Ho Chi Minh City. The drive offered scenic views of the coastal landscapes and small villages. 10. Day 10: Departure to the Tropical Paradise of Phu Quoc

After a leisurely breakfast in Ho Chi Minh City, we took a flight to Phu Quoc, an essential destination on a 2-week tour of Vietnam. The day began with a hotel pickup, followed by a beautiful boat ride on the turquoise waters of the Gulf of Thailand. Our first stop, Gam Ghi, was truly a paradise: snorkeling among vibrant coral reefs and colorful fish felt like being in a natural aquarium. Next, we headed to Mong Tay Island, where the crystal-clear water revealed even more underwater wonders. After a delicious lunch aboard, we set sail for May Rut Trong, a postcard-perfect beach with its immaculate white sand and palm trees swaying in the wind. The afternoon was dedicated to relaxation: swimming, fresh coconuts, and lounging by the water.

On our way back to the hotel, I felt completely fulfilled. This excursion was the perfect balance of adventure and relaxation, a must-do for any visit to Phu Quoc and a chance to discover some of the most beautiful beaches in Vietnam.

12. Day 12 & 13: Discovering Phu Quoc

On day 12, I chose the optional excursion to explore the northern part of the island, and I must say it was one of the most beautiful days of my trip. It all began with a peaceful kayak ride along the Cua Can River, surrounded by lush nature, where we encountered a few local fishermen going about their daily routines. Next, a visit to a honey farm allowed us to learn about local honey production and taste this 100% natural sweetness. After a short walk through the national park, we arrived at Rach Vem village, famous for its starfish beach. Seeing these delicate creatures in their natural habitat was a magical moment. After a seaside lunch, we headed to Ganh Dau, where the view of Cambodia was breathtaking. To finish the day, some of the group chose to stop at the Grand World Entertainment Theme Center, while I returned to the hotel, satisfied with the well-rounded day.

Day 13 was a free day, and I took full advantage of the laid-back atmosphere of Phu Quoc. The morning was spent relaxing on a beach with turquoise waters, followed by a seafood lunch at a small local restaurant. In the afternoon, I treated myself to a relaxing spa session before exploring the Duong Dong night market, where I sampled some local specialties. The day ended beautifully with a spectacular sunset at Long Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in Vietnam - a perfect moment to conclude my time on this paradise island.

13. Day 14: Goodbye Phu Quoc

It’s the last day of our 2-week Vietnam trip. After a hearty breakfast, we had some free time to visit local markets and pick up a few souvenirs. Then, we made our way to the airport for our return flight, taking with us wonderful memories of Phu Quoc and Vietnam.
