Review 3 Days In Bangkok - Top Things To Do In Bangkok, Thailand

Are you thinking about the Bangkok itinerary 3 days and wondering what things to do in Bangkok with not too many days? Great, you are in the right place!
Hi there, I'm Sam, a person with a strong passion for travel. Three months back, I ventured into Thailand, a land filled with stunning temples. I spent an enriching 3 days in Bangkok, a time that felt just right—neither too brief nor too lengthy. I think a large part of the success of that trip was thanks to Autour Asia, the travel company that I booked the tour with. They provided me with a great plan, and now I want to share it with you. If you're keen on discovering Bangkok in 3 days and 2 nights, this article has got you covered!

Let's explore my details itinerary of Bangkok itinerary 3 days:

1. Day 1: Bangkok - Grand Palace - Wat Phra Kaew (things to do in Bangkok)

I got to Bangkok in the morning, a beautiful start to my Thai journey. My first stop was the hotel to check in and take a quick nap after a long trip. Once I felt refreshed, I hit the streets to explore this lively city in the early afternoon.
Grand Palace, things to do in Bangkok
My Bangkok 3 days tour began with a visit to the Grand Palace complex. This is probably also one of the things to do in Bangkok for most tourists when coming here. It used to be the official home of the Siam kings, later becoming Thailand. Full of Thai history and culture, the palace isn't used as a residence anymore, but it hosts ceremonies and official events. It costs 500 THB per person to get in, and it's open daily from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. With one ticket, you can explore the whole temple complex, including the palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha.

2. Day 2: Wat Pho - Wat Arun

Missing out on visiting the temples in Bangkok would be a shame, so on the second day of my 3 days in Bangkok, I explored Wat Pho and Wat Arun. Wat Pho boasts an incredible reclining Buddha statue. I've seen many statues in temples, but this was my first time seeing a statue lying down instead of sitting up for meditation. At Wat Pho, I picked up a bowl of coins at the entrance to drop into the bowls for luck. If you're seeking luck too, give it a try!
Wat Pho, Bangkok 3 days tour
After Wat Pho, I headed to Wat Arun, which left the biggest impression on me among all the temples in Bangkok. Positioned along the Chao Phraya River, this stunning temple stands tall at 82 meters, featuring towering spires that are iconic in Southeast Asia. Built in the early 19th century with an ancient Khmer style, Wat Arun looks dazzlingly white from afar. But as you get closer, the temple reveals its beautifully painted floral designs crafted from Chinese porcelain.

3. Days 3: Chao Phraya River - Bangkok’s Chinatown - end my Bangkok 3 days tour

Riding a boat along the Chao Phraya River to see Wat Arun was a dream of mine for a long time. This wish finally came true during Bangkok 3 days 2 nights three months ago. Seeing Wat Arun from the river was even more stunning than I imagined. During the cruise, I also had a view of Bangkok city. Despite being known as a lively city, I found Bangkok surprisingly serene and calm from the boat.

To wrap up my 3 days in Bangkok, I visited Yaowarat, Bangkok's Chinatown. The food here was incredible! If you love food, strolling through this area and trying the street food is one of the things to do in Bangkok that cannot be missed. Especially at night, you might feel like you've stepped into a street in Beijing, not Thailand!

It was my memorable trip in Bangkok, Thailand. Hope this sharing will help you in your upcoming 3 days in Bangkok! Also, a quick tip if you plan to visit temples: wear respectful clothing (avoid tank tops and going barefoot). If you're looking for affordable tours, don't hesitate to contact Autour Asia!
