The temples, dating back to the 11th and 13th centuries, have been remarkably preserved, establishing Bagan as a captivating tourist destination in Myanmar.
Upon arrival in Bagan, your 9-day Myanmar tour continues with visits to:

The next destination on your Myanmar package tour is Pakkangyi, renowned as one of Myanmar's oldest surviving wooden monasteries. In the late afternoon, you'll head to Monywa.

You'll begin the day by visiting Monywa, a unique Burmese town situated near the Chindwin River. You'll take a ferry cruise along the Chindwin River and proceed to Po Win Daung to explore its incredible complex of 947 sandstone caves. This site, recently opened to foreigners, boasts precious frescoes dating back to the early 17th century. After climbing several hundred meters, you'll reach Shwe Ba Daung, another renowned destination with monasteries and temples carved into rocky narrow cliffs.
In the afternoon, your Myanmar 9-day tour continues with a visit to Thanboddhay Pagoda, featuring over 500,000 Buddha images covering every wall and archway of this immense Buddhist temple.
