This itinerary places a significant emphasis on immersing oneself in the enchanting landscapes of Luang Prabang, Kuang Si Waterfall, Nong Khiew, Vang Vieng, Vientiane, Pakse, and Done Khong Island (4,000 Islands)

Start your day early for a truly memorable experience - join the daily morning alms giving ritual to saffron-clad monks, a unique tradition preserved only in Laos. Afterward, explore a vibrant local market before returning to the hotel for breakfast.
Next, head to the former Royal Palace, now known as the National Museum, for a fascinating visit. Admire the golden bas-relief at Wat Mai, a renowned temple that houses the Prabang during the Lao New Year, known as Pimai. Capture the iconic beauty of Vat Xiengthong, the most photographed temple, located near the confluence of the Mekong and Khan Rivers.
Cross the Mekong River by ferry and venture into the authentic village of Ban Xienmiene. Take a leisurely walk and observe the daily life of the local villagers. Climb up to Wat Chompet temple for panoramic views before returning to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy at your leisure.

After enjoying breakfast at your hotel, embark on a scenic drive to a nearby valley southeast of Luang Prabang. Your destination is Long Lao Village, where an exciting hiking tour awaits. Before beginning the trek (approximately 9 km, lasting about 3.5 hours with a medium difficulty level, and potentially slippery terrain when wet), take the opportunity to explore the rich cultural and traditional life of the village, inhabited by Khamu and Hmong people.
The trek takes you into the mountainous countryside of Luang Prabang. As you hike, you'll pass through orchards, rice fields, and vegetable gardens, gradually ascending towards forested mountains adorned with wild jungle scenery and some moderately challenging climbs.
In the afternoon, you'll reach the breathtaking Kuang Si Waterfall, known for its crystal-clear waters. Following an exciting forest trail, you'll be rewarded with the sight of the welcoming pools of the waterfall, where you can relax and enjoy a refreshing swim.
While at the Kuang Si Waterfall park, make sure to visit the Kuang Si Bear Rescue Sanctuary, where you can learn about Asian sun and moon bears and the Free the Bears protection program. By the end of the afternoon, we'll return to the hotel by vehicle.
For meals, you will have the freedom to choose and enjoy your own dining experiences.

After having breakfast, begin your journey to Nong Khiew. Along the way, make a stop to explore the local market called Nam Park, immersing yourself in the vibrant atmosphere.
Upon reaching Nong Khiew, embark on a captivating long-tail boat cruise along the Nam Ou River, which lasts approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes. The boat will take you to Ban Hatsapheuy village, where you'll commence a 30-minute hike to Sojam village, home to the Thai Deang people. Take the opportunity to walk around the village, interact with the locals, and gain insights into their daily lives and unique culture.
You'll then proceed to check in at a local family's homestay in the village. Please note that the comfort at the homestay is simple, with no air conditioning or hot water available, and the toilet facilities located outside.
For lunch, you have the freedom to choose and enjoy a meal on your own.
In the evening, savor a delightful dinner prepared by the local family at the village. Embrace the authentic experience of dining with the community and immersing yourself in the local culture.
Dinner and overnight at homestay.
After enjoying breakfast at the homestay, the day begins with a scenic boat ride along the Nam Ou River, where you'll have the opportunity to observe and learn about the local way of life along the riverbanks. From there, embark on a trek through small streams and rice paddies, making your way to the base of the magnificent 100 waterfalls.
As you proceed, you'll find yourself surrounded by the enchanting sights and sounds of the waterfalls and lush jungle. The cascades create a captivating symphony as you navigate through them. The inviting pools that dot the landscape offer a refreshing opportunity for a leisurely swim.
Your knowledgeable guide will lead the way through the cascades and arrange for a local-style lunch to be prepared amidst this breathtaking natural setting. Afterward, you'll follow a small trail used by villagers, ascending from the top of the falls and descending into the valley. Along the way, you'll be treated to panoramic views of the Nam Ou valley's picturesque landscapes.
Upon hiking back to the village, you'll have more time to observe and immerse yourself in the daily life of the locals. Later, you'll take a boat ride to Nong Khiaw and check into your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy at your leisure.
Important note: Please bring trekking sandals that can withstand getting wet. It is essential to be in good physical shape and confident in traversing uneven terrain for this beautiful tour. Avoid wearing flip-flops. A picnic lunch will be provided for this excursion.

Following breakfast, commence your journey back to Luang Prabang. Along the way, make a stop to visit the authentic Ban Nayang village, where you can immerse yourself in the local culture and gain insights into the daily lives of the villagers.
Continue driving until you reach Ban Ou village, where you'll cross the Mekong River. This crossing will take you to the Pak Ou caves, situated at the confluence of the Mekong and Nam Ou Rivers. Inside these two caves, you'll find an awe-inspiring display of hundreds of sacred centuries-old Buddha images. These images hold immense significance and are the focal point of pilgrimages during the Lao New Year festivities, which take place around mid-April.
After exploring the caves, enjoy a boat cruise along the majestic Mekong River, heading back to Luang Prabang. Take in the scenic views along the way as you savor the tranquil ambiance of the river.

Following the cave visit, continue your journey towards Vientiane. Along the way, make a stop to enjoy the beautiful scenery overlooking the Nam Ngum River. Take a moment to appreciate the serene views and soak in the tranquility of the surroundings.

This tour begins at 08:00 with a unique ecotourism Orchid trek near Vientiane. Depart after breakfast for Phou Khao Khouay National Park, located a 1.5-hour drive away.
Led by a local guide from Ban Hatkhai village, the Orchid Trek supports conservation efforts and showcases the villagers' impressive knowledge of the park's flora and fauna.
During the morning, explore the diverse landscapes of the National Park, including bamboo fields, rainforests, and open fields. Capture photos, venture off the trail to discover colorful flowers or wildlife, and appreciate the abundance of orchid species and other plant and animal life.
At midday, take a break at a picturesque riverside spot. Enjoy a picnic lunch amidst the tranquil surroundings.
After recharging, continue the orchid trek deeper into the National Park until reaching Tad Xay waterfall. This magnificent waterfall consists of seven cascading levels, creating small pools perfect for swimming. It's a fantastic place to relax and unwind after the adventurous day.

Built at the conclusion of the Indochina wars, there are rumors that it was funded by the Americans, with the intention of supporting the airport's new runway. Meet your local driver and proceed to Wattay Airport for your departure.
Board an early morning flight from Vientiane to Pakse. Upon arrival, you will be greeted and driven to Boloven. As you leave Pakse, the road gradually ascends onto the Plateau, offering scenic views along the way. The region's volcanic rock formations provide fertile soil, creating ideal conditions for tea and coffee plantations to thrive. Take the opportunity to visit these plantations and gain insights into their cultivation and processing techniques.
Continue your journey to Tad Fane Waterfall, where you can admire the breathtaking cascade. Additionally, a pleasant walk or drive through the nearby coffee plantations for approximately 2km will lead you to Tad Yuang Waterfall.
Next, proceed to Sinouk Coffee Resort, where you will check in and have leisure time to unwind and enjoy the surroundings.

After breakfast, embark on a drive to visit the magnificent Tad Lo and Tad Phasuam Waterfalls, known for their impressive beauty. Continue your journey by driving to the pre-Angkoran ruins of Wat Phu, a temple complex situated dramatically atop a hill. These Khmer ruins, dating back to the 9th Century, offer a fascinating glimpse into the region's rich history and architectural heritage. Appreciate the captivating beauty and historical significance of this archaeological site, recognized by UNESCO as one of Laos' World Heritage sites in 2001.
Next, proceed to the 4000 islands region. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel in Don Khong, the largest island in the area. Enjoy leisure time to relax and unwind or embark on personal explorations of the island, discovering its unique charm and natural wonders at your own pace..

Enjoy a delightful breakfast at your hotel. Begin your day with a boat cruise from Don Khong island, allowing you to immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the enchanting 4000 islands region. Sail down to Don Khone island, where you will discover remnants of the French colonial era, including an old pier, a railway station, a former French hospital building, and the maritime office. Take in the historical ambiance of this area.
Continue your exploration with a visit to the Liphi waterfalls, known as the "Corridor of the Devil." Witness local fishermen daringly setting fish traps at the base of the falls, providing a fresh catch every day. Afterwards, transfer to the authentic Don Det island, where you can further appreciate the local charm and unique atmosphere.
In the afternoon, embark on a cruise to Ban Nakasang village, followed by a van ride towards the Cambodian border. Here, you will visit the majestic Khone Phapheng waterfall, renowned for its grandeur and magnitude. These falls are responsible for the Mekong River being unnavigable into China. Spanning an impressive 10km stretch of the Mekong, the sight of the cascading waters is truly awe-inspiring.
